We've gone full swing into white asparagus season. The celebrated vegetable is flown in weekly from its native Germany to Brotzeit at the peak of their freshness, where they're turned into tantalising dishes, dessert included. Enjoy them the classic way, simply poached on the side of parsley potatoes ($22 for 250g), or creamed in a luscious soup with shavings of leg ham ($12). Whether feasting communally over the white asparagus platter with juicy grilled beef tenderloin, Black Forest Ham and rich hollandaise sauce ($78), or over personal portions of pan-fried sea bass fillet ($32), diners can make the most of German tradition by enjoying them with two best-selling heritage beers, Franziskaner and Löwenbräu, which are now available exclusively on draft for the first time in Singapore.
White asparagus season forecasted till end June. Draft beer prices from $9 (0.3 litres) to $28 (1 litre). #01-17 Raffles City. 252 North Bridge Road. Tel: 6883 1524
