After five decades of building its identity around handcrafted silver jewellery, John Hardy is introducing a new chapter with Crafted in Color, unveiling the Icon Gemstone and Heishi Gemstone collections for Fall 2026. Inspired by Bali’s coastline, natural landscapes, and vibrant spirit, the collections bring hand-cut natural gemstones into some of the brand’s most recognisable designs, offering a fresh way to wear colour while remaining rooted in the craftsmanship that has long defined the house.

The launch expands John Hardy’s signature design language without departing from its core identity. Rather than introducing an entirely new aesthetic, the collections reinterpret familiar silhouettes through the addition of vibrant gemstones, balancing bold colour with the woven silver craftsmanship that has become synonymous with the Bali-born jewellery brand.
Leading the release is Icon Gemstone, which revisits John Hardy’s iconic woven chain through suspended bezel-set stones that appear to float within the design. Hand-cut London Blue Topaz, Citrine, and Tanzanite are housed in proprietary cast settings inspired by the movement of the woven chain itself, creating jewellery that feels structured yet fluid. The collection is designed as a seasonal statement, adding expressive colour while preserving the unmistakable character of the Icon collection.
Alongside it comes Heishi Gemstone, a more relaxed interpretation intended for everyday wear. Drawing inspiration from ocean tones, summer light, and treasures collected along the shore, the collection combines John Hardy’s signature silver Heishi beads with colourful gemstone centrepieces and charms. Available in both classic and mini bead sizes, the designs encourage layering, stacking, and personal styling, while the natural variations in every gemstone ensure that no two pieces are exactly alike.

Together, the John Hardy Gemstone Collections illustrate different approaches to wearing colour. Icon Gemstone leans towards sculptural elegance and statement dressing, while Heishi Gemstone embraces versatility and effortless styling. Despite their contrasting personalities, both remain connected through John Hardy’s emphasis on handcrafted artistry and thoughtfully sourced natural materials.
Born in Bali and handcrafted by local artisans, John Hardy continues to draw inspiration from the island that shaped its identity. The Fall 2026 collections reinforce that connection, translating the colours of Bali’s coastline into wearable forms while celebrating the craftsmanship that has guided the brand for more than 50 years. As the company continues its commitment to responsible jewellery making through its Responsible Jewellery Council certification, Crafted in Color shows that contemporary luxury can embrace both vibrant self-expression and enduring artisan traditions.
