Travel is increasingly measured not only by the places we see, but by the flavours, rituals, and memories we encounter along the way. At Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh, the journey unfolds around the table, where the abundance of Vietnam’s south-central coast meets a distinctly European spirit of culinary craftsmanship.

Along the shores of Bai Dai, the landscape provides a natural pantry. Fresh seafood arrives from surrounding waters, while tropical fruits, aromatic herbs and seasonal produce bring colour and vitality to the plate. Across three distinctive dining destinations, these ingredients tell different stories of Cam Ranh, from convivial Alpine traditions to leisurely evenings beside the sea.

Chübeli Beer House: The Alps by the Sea

There is an unexpected pleasure in discovering a touch of Switzerland beside the tropics. At Chübeli Beer House, SwissBavarian conviviality finds a new home on the Vietnamese coast. Refreshing draft beers accompany bubbling Swiss-style hot pots and generous dishes created for sharing. It is hearty, uncomplicated dining, built around the pleasure of gathering together. As evening settles over Bai Dai, live piano music softens the mood. The experience feels less about rushing through dinner than lingering over another glass, another conversation and another taste.

Panorama: Flavours in Motion

At Panorama Restaurant, variety becomes part of the experience. Monthly themed buffets introduce an evolving collection of flavours, allowing each visit to reveal something new. The atmosphere is particularly welcoming for families. Evening entertainment and activities for younger guests bring an easy sense of energy to the restaurant, while parents can settle into dinner at their own pace. Food becomes a shared ritual, bringing generations together around one table.

Tropicana Beach Club: Sunset on a Plate

Closer to the sea, Tropicana Beach Club captures the carefree rhythm of coastal living. Grilled seafood, premium beef and meats take centre stage, accompanied by signature cocktails, international wines and beers. Guests may retreat into the cool comfort of the indoor bar or settle outdoors, where the breeze and fading afternoon light provide their own kind of theatre. It is perhaps here, as the sky changes colour above Bai Dai, that the relationship between destination and dining feels most complete.

Where Two Culinary Worlds Meet

Connecting these experiences is the culinary vision of Executive Chef Harald Rinderle, whose career spans more than two decades in five-star kitchens across Germany, New Zealand, Vietnam, Papua New Guinea and Greenland. His experience encompasses European, Asian and fusion cuisines, yet in Cam Ranh, his philosophy begins with place. Drawing upon his knowledge of Asian flavours and the region’s ingredients, Chef Harald allows the destination to guide the menu rather than imposing another culinary identity upon it. “It’s not about bringing European cuisine to Vietnam. It’s about creating food that reflects Cam Ranh.” And perhaps that is the essence of dining while travelling: not simply tasting something delicious, but discovering where you are one plate at a time.
