This year, the festive season at The Meru Sanur and Bali Beach Hotel, The Heritage Collection unfolds with unprecedented brilliance as the hotels unveil Seaside Festive Symphony – a celebration that marries beachfront elegance, culinary indulgence, and one of the most anticipated musical collaborations Indonesia has ever seen. Set along the tranquil sunrise coast within the Special Economic Zone for Health and Wellness, these two iconic hotels invite guests into a world where heritage and contemporary artistry converge to define the magic of the holidays.
The festivities begin in true Sanur fashion: gently, beautifully, and with deep cultural resonance. The Seaside Symphony of Lights sets the tone, illuminating the resort grounds with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony accompanied by the voices of a local children’s choir – a heartwarming prelude to the season. At Arunika Restaurant, the culinary team celebrates the flavours of the holidays with a Seaside Christmas Eve Dinner and Christmas Day Brunch, weaving seasonal classics with Indonesian warmth. Each gathering reflects the destination’s timeless charm, where the ocean breeze and heartfelt hospitality elevate every moment.
But it is New Year’s Eve that positions the hotels at the centre of Indonesia’s cultural stage. On 31 December 2025, the shores come alive for the Seaside Festive Symphony New Year’s Eve Concert, an extraordinary performance featuring the Erwin Gutawa Orchestra and celebrated jazz maestro Indra Lesmana – two icons whose artistry has shaped Indonesia’s musical landscape for decades. Joining them are Eva Celia, Teza Sumendra, Gabriel Harvianto, and Woro Mustiko, creating a star-studded lineup unlike any festive celebration in the region.
Erwin Gutawa Orchestra presents Ethnochestra, a sweeping musical narrative that blends Indonesia’s cultural heritage and orchestral grandeur. Highlights include a compelling wayang segment featuring Woro Mustiko as the dalang, narrating timeless stories woven with orchestral and ethnic instrumentation, and a special performance by Gabriel Harvianto, whose Indonesia-themed compositions stir emotion and national pride. This fusion of tradition and innovation positions the evening as a defining cultural moment – one that honours Indonesia’s artistic identity while sharing it on a world-class stage.
Equally captivating is the Indra Lesmana Jazz Experience, where the maestro – recognised as one of Indonesia’s most influential musicians – returns to the spotlight with Eva Celia and Teza Sumendra. Their performance explores jazz as a global language, weaving expressive improvisation with Indonesian sensibilities. Lesmana’s storied career includes a scholarship-backed musical education in Australia, an American album release under MCA Records in the 1980s, and the distinction of being part of the first Indonesian group to perform at Blue Note Tokyo – achievements that reflect his pivotal role in shaping Indonesia’s musical legacy. His collaboration with Erwin Gutawa bridges contemporary jazz with ethno-orchestral richness, crafting a performance that resonates across generations.
Open to the public at IDR 3,500,000++ per person – including a Grand Buffet Dinner and a series of special performances – the concert also features an immersive cultural showcase by Kita Poleng. This contemporary interpretation of Balinese heritage sets the evening’s tone with graceful dynamism. A 20% early bird offer is available for bookings made between 18 and 22 November 2025, making this spectacular celebration even more compelling for music and culture lovers.
To complement the experience, both hotels present exclusive stay packages designed for guests seeking a seamless transition from luxurious repose to festive revelry. The Meru Sanur offers the Symphony Serenity package – an elegant one-night stay in a Tropical Suite, including breakfast for two and two concert tickets at IDR 11,300,000++. Meanwhile, Bali Beach Hotel, The Heritage Collection, extends its own Symphony Serenity stay in a Deluxe Room with breakfast for two and concert access at IDR 9,400,000++.
