One unforgettable evening, two accomplished chefs, and a shared passion for Japanese cuisine – Padma Resort Legian is set to host an exclusive dining event that celebrates culinary collaboration at its finest. Four Hands Izakaya Night sees TENKAI Japanese Nikkei Restaurant join forces with Takumi Japanese Fine Dining for a one-night-only experience that highlights the artistry of Japanese gastronomy through a thoughtfully curated 22-dish menu.
Taking place on 29 August 2026, the collaborative dinner brings together Chef Juan Carlos of TENKAI and Chef Daijiro of Takumi, each renowned for their distinct approach to Japanese cuisine. While TENKAI is celebrated for its vibrant Nikkei identity – where Japanese precision meets the bold flavours of Peru – Takumi presents a more refined expression of traditional Japanese fine dining. The result is a menu that balances creativity with restraint, allowing each culinary philosophy to shine while complementing the other.
Guests can expect an evening that journeys through a diverse selection of dishes, from the bright acidity of Mixto Ceviche to the comforting richness of Wagyu Chahan, alongside elegant bites such as Aburi Beef Nigiri and the intriguingly indulgent Smoked Salmon Carbonara. Each course has been carefully designed to showcase seasonal ingredients and thoughtful techniques, creating an experience that reflects the collaborative spirit behind the event rather than simply presenting two separate restaurant concepts.
Complementing the menu is a collection of Nikkei-inspired cocktails crafted exclusively for the occasion. Signature pours such as the Nikkei Paloma, Matcha Velvet, and Yuzu Gin Sour introduce fresh citrus notes, botanical complexity, and subtle Japanese influences, pairing naturally with the evening’s bold yet balanced flavours.
Designed around the convivial essence of an izakaya, the evening promises more than exceptional food and drinks. Live saxophone performances will provide an elegant soundtrack throughout the dinner, creating an intimate atmosphere where guests can linger over shared plates, conversations, and carefully crafted cocktails. Whether dining with friends, loved ones, or fellow enthusiasts of Japanese cuisine, Four Hands Izakaya Night offers an experience that celebrates flavour, craftsmanship, and the joy of gathering around the table.
Hosted at TENKAI Japanese Nikkei Restaurant within Padma Resort Legian, the exclusive event takes place on Saturday, 29 August 2026, from 6pm to 9.30pm, with the experience priced at IDR 580,000++ per person.
