Waterbom Bali has once again earned international recognition, securing the title of Asia’s Leading Waterpark 2026 at the prestigious World Travel Awards. Marking its third consecutive victory, the accolade further establishes the Bali attraction as one of the region’s leading leisure destinations, celebrated for its combination of thrilling experiences, thoughtful hospitality and commitment to environmental sustainability.
The award was presented during the World Travel Awards Asia, Oceania & Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony 2026, held in the Maldives on 27 September, coinciding with World Tourism Day. David Garcia, Chief Operating Officer of Waterbom Bali, accepted the recognition on behalf of the team, acknowledging the collective efforts of those responsible for delivering memorable guest experiences throughout the park.

Beyond the international accolade, Waterbom Bali also secured third place globally in the Amusement & Water Parks category at the 2026 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards. Based on traveller feedback, the recognition reflects more than 18,000 guest reviews and an average rating of 4.6, highlighting the park’s continued popularity among international and domestic visitors.
Spanning more than five hectares of landscaped tropical gardens, Waterbom Bali offers 28 world-class waterslides designed to cater to different ages and preferences. From adrenaline-fuelled attractions to the leisurely pace of the Lazy River and the family-friendly Kiddy Area, the park combines recreation with spaces for relaxation. Its four dining outlets also offer freshly prepared dishes using locally sourced ingredients, while two swim-up pool bars and private gazebos provide additional opportunities to unwind.

Continuing to enhance its facilities, Waterbom Bali has introduced Coco Gardens, a new outdoor space located beyond Zuluu Hill. Surrounded by lush greenery, the area has been designed for children’s birthday celebrations and group gatherings, with convenient access to the Kids’ Area, nearby slides and essential facilities. The addition reflects the park’s ongoing efforts to create experiences that accommodate families and groups while preserving its tropical surroundings.
However, Waterbom Bali’s achievements extend beyond its attractions and guest facilities. Environmental responsibility remains central to its operations, guided by Tri Hita Karana, the Balinese philosophy emphasising harmony between people, nature and the divine. This principle informs the park’s approach to sustainability, community engagement and long-term environmental stewardship.

As part of its commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2033, Waterbom Bali continues to implement measurable sustainability initiatives across its operations. According to its latest sustainability report, the park operates on 100 percent renewable energy, with only 0.68% of waste sent to landfill. Water consumption has also been reduced to 193 litres per guest, exceeding its planned efficiency targets.
These achievements reflect an environmental programme that has been integrated into the park’s operations since 2017. Its efforts have previously received recognition through the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Gold Awards, including the Grand Title Award for Sustainability and Social Responsibility in 2023 and the PATA Gold Award for Best Climate Action Initiative (Industry) in 2025.
The park’s environmental commitment also extends into the wider community through its Seed of Thought programme. Working with schools and young people across Bali, the initiative introduces students to sustainable practices and shares practical examples of environmental responsibility implemented within Waterbom Bali. Through education and community engagement, the programme aims to encourage greater environmental awareness among younger generations.

Following its third consecutive recognition as Asia’s Leading Waterpark, Waterbom Bali has also been nominated for the World’s Leading Water Park 2026 title at the World Travel Awards. The nomination offers another opportunity for the park to gain international recognition, with guests, partners and supporters invited to participate in the public voting process.
As Waterbom Bali continues to develop its attractions and environmental initiatives, its latest achievement highlights an approach to tourism that brings together recreation, hospitality and responsible practices. With three consecutive regional titles and a growing international reputation, the park continues to demonstrate how a popular leisure destination can balance memorable experiences with a long-term commitment to preserving the environment that surrounds it.
